DESIGN CONSULTATION & SPATIAL STRATEGY

Understand the space. Define the direction.

Every Arch Interiors project begins here. Before we develop a concept or create visualizations, we first need to understand what you want, what your space needs and what is realistically possible.

During your consultation, we explore your requirements, lifestyle, aesthetic preferences, intended functionality and vision for the space.

We then assess the existing space and begin translating your ideas into a coherent design direction.

YOUR DESIGN CONSULTATION REPORT

Following the consultation, Arch Interiors provides a Design Consultation Report documenting our assessment and recommendations. The report gives you a clear understanding of:

  • What your space is telling us.

  • What we recommend.

  • What can realistically be achieved.

  • What should be reconsidered.

  • And what direction we recommend taking next.

This becomes the strategic foundation for Stage 02.

The on-site consultation includes the physical assessment of your property and the subsequent Design Consultation Report.

STAGE 2

CONCEPT AND DESIGN DEVELOPMENT

​

Now we turn the strategy into the design.

Once Stage 01 has established what you want, what your space requires and what is realistically achievable, we move into Concept & Design Development.

This is where the design starts to become tangible.

We take the agreed direction from Stage 01 and develop the visual language of your space - balancing your preferences with proportion, functionality, materials, colour, furniture and architectural considerations.

VISUAL DEVELOPMENT IS SELECTED ACCORDING TO THE PROJECT.

​

Not every room needs a 3D render.

Some spaces can be communicated beautifully and effectively through a carefully developed moodboard. Other spaces require three-dimensional planning because of their complexity, built-ins, architecture or technical requirements.

We therefore select the appropriate visualisation method for each space.

MOODBOARD DEVELOPMENT - R2000/ROOM

​For spaces where a moodboard can effectively communicate the design direction and guide implementation.

​

A moodboard may communicate:

  • Color palette

  • Materials and finishes

  • Furniture direction

  • Textures

  •  Lighting direction

  •  Decorative elements

  • Overall aesthetic

  • *Visual references

This can be appropriate for spaces such as living rooms, dining rooms and other areas where the design does not depend heavily on complex built-in construction.

3D DESIGN DEVELOPMENT - R3000/ROOM

For spaces where three-dimensional planning is necessary to properly communicate the proposed design.

3D design allows us to develop and communicate:

  • Spatial arrangement

  •  Furniture placement

  •  Built-in elements

  •  Proportions

  • Architectural features

  • Material application

  • Color relationships

  •  Design details

For more complex spaces such as kitchens and major bathrooms, 3D development is required to ensure the design can be properly understood before implementation.

REALISTIC VISUALISATION 

FROM R7,000 PER RENDER

For projects where the design needs to be communicated at a higher level of visual realism.

This is particularly valuable for:

  • Luxury developments 

  •  Commercial interiors

  •  Hospitality projects

  •  Restaurants

  • Showrooms

  • Property developments

  •  Investor presentations

  •  Large-scale residential developments

For these projects, realistic visualisation allows the proposed environment to be communicated clearly to investors, development partners, stakeholders and decision-makers before construction or implementation begins.

Pricing is determined by the number and complexity of renders required.

STAGE 3 - DESIGN, PROCUREMENT & EXECUTION

 

You don’t have to manage the project yourself.

Once the design has been developed and approved, you have the option to appoint Arch Interiors to take the project through implementation. 

Stage 03 is completely optional.

If you prefer to take the approved design and manage implementation independently, you can conclude your engagement with Arch Interiors after Stage 01 and/or Stage 02.

If you want us to take responsibility for bringing the design to life, we manage the project for you.

Our role is to coordinate the moving parts of the project and ensure that the finished space reflects the approved design direction.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT & EXECUTION FEE

15% OF THE OVERALL PROJECT VALUE

This fee applies when Arch Interiors is appointed to manage and execute the project.

You do not pay the 15% execution fee upfront.

It applies when you choose to proceed into the implementation stage.

CONSULTATION CREDIT

If you proceed to Stage 03, 70% of your initial design consultation fee will be credited toward your 15% Design, Procurement & Execution fee.
